That maniacal giggle became his trademark and fodder for impressionists from then on in. When Widmark tied up Mildred Dunnock and threw her down a flight of stairs, gasps aplenty came from audiences. Widmark's portrayal of Tommy Udo in Kiss of Death shocked audiences nationwide. No bit parts, no walk-ons, Widmark's first feature role netted him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor and stardom. In contrast, Saiko is an extreme introvert - her awkward nature often makes her seem eccentric or strange - oh, not to mention her kiss kills you and takes you back 7 days to the past.Īll in all I really enjoyed it! I kind of discovered this drama out of the blue and didn't expect to like it so much, a pleasant surprise.Richard Widmark belongs to a select few players who from their screen debut became instant stars. Two very contrasting but equally unusual and fascinating characters coming together in a strange situation.Įight is a playboy who doesn't believe in love, he is selfish and seduces woman for money and to get ahead in life. I've said it before but potentially my favourite part of this drama was the dynamic between the two leads. Not to mention the cast are all really good looking too lol. I always enjoy dramas where the lead ( in this case, the male lead - Eight) is not a good person, he is blatantly a flawed person with a selfish attitude but that's part of what makes it so interesting to watch. I literally just finished watching the last episode after writing this and it seems as if another season is on the cards? So hopefully my wish comes true! Its the words that's on everyone's lips but Kento's acting really has improved after seeing this drama - I'm no expert but its rlly refreshing to see him in a very different kind of role - and he does it well. I am hungry to see more from their relationship. However I loved this drama! I was surprised how much I loved it, the dynamic between the two leads is really interesting and left me wanting more. Rewatch Value 6.0 I usually don't write reviews so this won't exactly be well written or very long. And bonus, this drama has AMAZING music! PLEASE WATCH! Please watch this if you have the time to! It is simply AMAZING! To create a branch called “new_feature”, use the following: $ git checkout -b new_feature You can actually have multiple branches (for different features) that you’re working on at the same time. This branch will be independent of the clean, functioning “master” code and is a safe place for you to delete, modify and add code. To do this, we are going to want to create a branch to work on. Now we can start making our desired changes. Okay, so now we’ve made a fork of the repository we want to work on, we’ve cloned it to our local computer and also added a remote pointing back to the original repository. You can verify that you now have two remotes, “origin” and “upstream” using the following: $ git remote -v We usually call this remote “upstream” and can add it using: $ git remote add upstream So we want to add another remote pointing to the original repository so that we can periodically git pull any changes that have occurred in that repository such that we are working on the must up-to-date version of the code. While we are making changes, others might also be making changes and the original repository might be getting updated during the time you are adding a feature. However, the goal here is to contribute to the original repository and we want to keep up to date with the original. This means that when you do git add/ git commit/ git push you can push your local changes to the forked repository. When you cloned the forked repository onto your local computer, git automatically added a remote repository named “origin” pointing to the forked repository on GitHub. Then, at the command line, clone the repository, for example: $ git clone Navigate to your forked repository on GitHub, click the “Clone or download” button and copy the url. This is as simple as using git clone on the forked repository. Clone the repository locallyīefore you can make changes to the repository you’ll first want to make a local copy on your computer. To fork a repository, find it on GitHub and then click the Fork button. A “fork” is just an independent copy of a repository that you can develop on without affecting the original. The first step is to fork the GitHub repository you want to work on. Delete your feature branch using the GitHub website or, delete the local branch: git branch -d new_feature, and delete the remote: git push origin -delete new_feature.Change to master: git checkout master and pull: git pull upstream master. Once the pull request is accepted, you’ll want to pull those changes into your origin (forked repository).Open a pull request on GitHub merging your changes with the upstream (original) repository.Push changes to your remote repository: git push origin new_feature. Sync dev branch: git checkout new_feature, git merge master. Pull new changes from remote: git checkout master, git pull upstream master.Make desired changes to the local repository on this branch.Checkout a new branch (here called “new_feature”): git checkout -b new_feature.Add remote called “upstream” pointing to the original repository: git remote add upstream.Clone the repository locally: git clone.Fork a GitHub repository: navigate to a repository on GitHub and click the Fork button. The workflow comprises the following steps which are described in more detail in the subsequent sections: I wanted to document my simple approach to this workflow here (for reference by my future self and others). For this, we typically use the “fork-and-branch” workflow. I particularly feel this way when wanting to contribute to others' open-source projects on GitHub. However, if your anything like me, using these tools sometimes feels like a bit of a black box, nicely summarised by this xkcd comic: I primarily use Git and GitHub for my open-source work. Maybe James Rolf should make a "Chronologically Confused About the Wolfenstein Series" video. So let me get this straight: Wolf3D, Spear of Destiny, RtCW and Wolf2009 are in the same universe, but Old Blood is essentislly a reimagining of RtCW, and New ORder is bascially sequel to Wolf2009 even though it is in a different continuity? And somehow is a direct prequel to Doom? Aye ye ye. The only game that fits neatly into the New Order/Old Blood canon is Wolfenstein 2009, which ironically seems to be one of the most hated by the devs. Mad Max, like you said, or James Bond would be similar to the canon of Wolfenstein. Originally posted by DogMeat:Complete and utter mess. Old Blood even makes reference to Wolfenstein 3D with an assassination attempt on Hitler by someone who looks just like BJ Blazkowicz. Agent One returns (died in RtCW), Kessler returns yet they've never met before, the villain is the same overweight Helga von Schabbs, formerly Helga von Bulow and the final boss of the game bares a striking resemblance to Olaric. Old Blood is practically a retelling of the first two chapters of RtCW. which pretty much solidifies the reboot angle. Also referenced in New Order is chapter 5 of RtCW where BJ swam through Deathshead's X-Labs in Norway. Machine Games claim this is a reboot, yet they directly tie the series to Wolfenstein 2009 by bringing the resistance leader (Caroline) back and even explaining her survival and also tying in Deathshead's new 'happy man' mood to his survival of the Zeppelin crash in the last game. and the only way to beat him is with the Spear of Destiny which cuts off his harm and leg, hence his cyber leg and rocket arm in Doom. Schabbs working on super soldiers, Marianna, crypts with zombies) and Spear of Destiny together (Nazis summon the cyber demon. Its yet another reboot mixing the stories of RtCW (Dr. Wolfenstein RPG is released for cell phones. so now Wolfenstein 3D, Spear of Destiny, RtCW and Wolfenstein 2009 are all part of the same canon? WTF Raven. Deathshead returns as the villain again escaping at the end.Īll is fine with the reboot so far. Wolfenstein 2009 rolls around and its pretty much a direct sequel to RtCW. Schabbs boss from Wolfenstein 3D and many of the chapters are named after episodes from Wolf 3D. The new nemesis of the series, Deathshead was intended as a reboot of the Dr. Now the series gets yet another reboot with Return to Castle Wolfenstein which is sort of a remake of Wolfenstein 3D. One of them had BJ travelling into the future to a UAC facility. There were also two expansions to Spear of Destiny, the so called Lost Missions. Then there was Spear of Destiny which was a prequel to Wolfenstein 3D and then you also had the Nocturnal Missions which were also prequels to Wolfenstein 3D. Then the MAC and SNES versions of Wolfenstein 3D came out which changed the story and location of events. Id Software were fans of those games so they bought the rights to the series and remade those games in Wolfenstein 3D. In the 80s you had Castle Wolfenstein and Beyond Castle Wolfenstein. I’ve tried reinstalling iTunes, even downgrading (it didn’t let me) but nothing has changed: C4D still won’t open at all. However, I can’t actually solve it, as the steps everyone says one should follow include deleting these files and my Mac won’t allow me to do so, as it says they’re needed for the OS to work properly… So that gets me nowhere. At least that’s the most plausible explanation I found online. (file:///Applications/MAXON/Cinema 4D R19/corelibs/c4dplugin.xlib) Īfter several hours’ research… ?… I think I’ve pinpointed the issue: apparently it has to do with the fact I was prompted to update iTunes when I was trying to update my iPhone and that resulted in a corruption of the MobileDevice Unix Executable file in System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/amework/Versions/A/. In /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/amework/Versions/A/MobileDevice. Referenced from: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/amework/Versions/A/MobileDevice Error code: dlopen(/Applications/MAXON/Cinema 4D R19/corelibs/c4dplugin.xlib, 6): Symbol not found: _xpc_file_transfer_create_with_path So it’s only limited to my Mac and the fact that you mention you too had to update your phone (added to the fact that I NEVER update my phone using my MBPro, and I believe this is the first time I’ve done that) makes me think that’s the common variable… I too tried to launch C4D on my PC (which is only my rendering machine) and there was no issue there. Which could explain why (if the issue actually is, as you say, from the iPhone update) it not launching occurred only just now.īTW, this is what I’m finding in the Console as I try to launch:ĭefaultĐ0:55:00.150705 +0200 kernel starting, non-mux-aware app count 0, switch-state 0 IG FBs 1 EG FBs 0:0 power-state 6 3D idle HDA idleĭefaultĐ0:55:00.231767 +0200 kernel exiting, non-mux-aware app count 0, runtime: 0:00:00.081ĭon’t know if that can help find the issue. I hadn’t thought of that because C4D was working fine today but the truth is last night I didn’t shutdown my Mac, only put it in Sleep mode… So I think C4D the first time I exited C4D was today. And the MacOS I’m running is Sierra 10.12.6.Īs a matter of fact, yesterday I had to update my iPhone by connecting it to my Mac. I Specifically had R19.024 installed last time I checked, but I do remember installing updates a while back however, as you can imagine I can’t even see what my specific version is, as it doesn’t allow me to load anything. I’m mid-project and now I have a launching issue that I don’t seem to find that anyone else online has had and I don’t know what to do. I’ve since tried everything: deleting the contents of my Cache, Launch Agents, Saved Application State, Launch Daemons, etc., folders I’ve reset the System Management Controller I’ve reset the NVRAM I’ve launched in Recovery Mode and ran First Aid on my drives… I even followed the only online recommendation I found that somewhat describes a similar issue and I deleted the Mesa folder located in resources/libs/osx… All to no avail. Obviously I’ve changed nothing in my system, especially not since this morning: no updates, installed nothing else, etc. I have never before had such issues with C4D or any other software for that matter. I can’t launch it nor can I actually launch its installer in order to fix or reinstall the software. I came back in the evening and now when I click the C4D it just give one bounce with the little grey circle below it and no more. I closed up everything, shutdown my MBPro and left for a couple of hours for lunch. So, this has just happened… all of a sudden and in the middle of a project. |
